Ways of giving

St John's Situations Vacant

At St John’s using our time and talents in God’s service has always played a key role in church life and stewardship. Everyone has a skill they can offer. Everyone is a valuable part of the body of Christ. Check out 1 Corinthians 12:4-31.

Sacristy team

Volunteers still desired to join the sacristy rota. Please speak to Anne Ireland or Chris Williams to find out what this entails.

New recruits for the Fabric Committee

Monthly meetings and ongoing maintenance tasks in church. If you cannot join the committee but could still get involved, especially on Saturday mornings, you are welcome to just help out on our working parties during the year eg. Spring cleaning, hedge cutting – more muscle needed! Flexible working arrangements available! Contact Mike on This email address is being protected from spambots. Pathfinder Leaders Required

Any involvement - whether it be supporting occasional social activities, weekly meetings or taking a more active role – would be welcomed by the current leadership team.  Please contact us if you would like to find out more. Help Urgently Needed-Cleaning

We are currently needing additional volunteers to help with church cleaning. This is not a huge task- just 4 times a year taking about half an hour each time. You can fit in your session at any time during ‘your’ week. The church and hall are split up so you wouldn’t be cleaning the whole place.Spaces are appearing on the rota and despite best attempts we are not managing to replace retiring volunteers. If you can help in this way please speak to Jenny McKeever,771379 or email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Altar serving

Recently we have lost senior servers and in the New Year there will be another gap for a couple of months.

If you feel you would like to contribute to our worship in this way either on an occasional or temporary basis please contact either Chris Williams or Lisa.

Maybe an opportunity for members of our Welcome Team when not on their monthly tour of duty.

The particular request is for our Sunday 10am Eucharist but a quieter 8.am said service may also appeal.
