There are more details of our Vision in the "Our Vision" page in the menu across the top of the screen.
Meanwhile you are very welcome to join us for any of the Church services and other activities.
While most people are busy putting up decorations during December, the Church Of England takes its time. The Church is dressed in purple and their are no flowers. This is the period of Advent, when we prepare for the coming of Jesus.
We make up for this by continuing to celebrate Christmastide long after people have taken down their decorations at home. In fact we continue until Candlemass on 2nd February. So, on 7th January we celebrate the coming of the kings on Epiphany - they are absent from our crib until then. We will also distribute Christingles at this service. Children are very welcome to join us for our Messy Christingle on Saturday 6th when we will prepare for this. On January 28th we celebrate the Presentation of Christ in the temple.
Details of all the other events can be found on the front page of this site.
St John's News is available for downloading from this site (see Documents for downloading, or the front page) and details of all these events are advertised on this site.
Details of the services for this week can be found in the menu on the left of this page. All of these are open to all and you will be very welcome to join us. If you like to be quiet, we suggest that you come to the 8am service. The 10am service caters for all ages, with music, and Sunday School. Take your pick. If you would like to just come and see the Church, it is open from 9am until 3pm Mondays-Saturdays during term time.
Attending a Church Service for the first time, or at a different Church, can be a daunting prospect. We would like to ensure that newcomers feel welcome and comfortable with the worship. If you would like to talk to someone before coming, or would like someone to greet you on arrival and to support you during and after the service, please contact us.
You will find details of how to contact us on the "How to contact us" page.
