Supporting our worship

Many people are involved each week in supporting the worship, including the following:-

  • Our vicar and visiting clergy
  • Licensed Lay Ministers
  • Sacristy Team
  • Organist
  • Choir
  • Servers
  • Readers
  • Intercessors
  • Flower arrangers
  • Church cleaners
  • AVS team
  • Welcome Team

Sacristy Team

The Sacristy Team prepare the Altar and Vessels for each service. They change the frontals according to the Church seasons and set up the Chalices, Corporals, Purificators, Lavabo and Pawl ready for the Eucharist. They also restock candles and oil, together with wine and wafers. This essential work goes largely unseen by the congregation.

Choir

We have a robed choir, affiliated to RSCM and supporting the ‘Voice for Life’ scheme. There is a practice each Thursday at 7:30pm. New members are always welcome.

Servers

We have a small team of servers who serve on a rota organised by Steve Pope

Readers

We are fortunate to have a team of people willing to read the Bible passages in the service each week. If you would like to join the team, please contact Sue Rance.

Intercessors

Please contact Gillian Gyenes if you would like to know more about the weekly intercessions during Sunday worship.

Flowers Arrangers

Carol Cain organises the display of flowers in Church each week.

Church cleaners

Jenny McKeever organises the rota for cleaning the hall and Church.

AVS team

James Laverick oversees the audio/visual system so that everyone can see and hear during worship. New team members are always welcome.

Welcome Team

David Rance manages the four team of people who provide a welcome to the Sunday service. Each team is on duty for one month at a time. We have several vacancies and would welcome new team members.
