Our Church will be taking part in the Annual Ride + Stride event organised by the Berkshire Historic Churches Trust on September 9th. This is a sponsored event – half of the sponsorship money goes to the Trust and the other half comes to St Johns.
We will be visiting nine local Churches on foot, starting with St Pauls in Wokingham and finishing back at St Johns. This is a distance of around 6 miles. We will be setting off from St Paul’s at 10am and hope to be back in Crowthorne by 4pm. We have a picnic lunch on the way. So far we have a group of six people and one dog doing the walk. Our Church will be open from 10am on the day to welcome visitors. Anna Forbes will be organising refreshments, but it would be nice to have a few more people to pop in for a while to the Church during the day to welcome visitors. Let Jenny know if you would like to help with this.
